Pradhan Mantri Ujwala Yojana

 Pradhan Mantri Ujwala Yojana Ujwala Yojana is a great scheme of the Government of India which aims to provide gas cylinders to the below poverty line sections.  In Ujwala Yojana 2.0, about one crore gas cylinders will be distributed to the beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Ujwala Yojana.

 This scheme was launched last year by Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the below poverty line families, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced on 21 May 2022 that over 9 crore beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujwala Yojana will be given a subsidy of ₹ 200 per gas cylinder this year.

This subsidy will be provided keeping in mind the rising LPG prices.  Beneficiaries can avail this subsidy up to a maximum of 12 cylinders.  A woman belonging to a BPL family and not having LPG connection in her house can avail the benefit of PMYU scheme.

Eligibility for Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Ujwala Yojana

•  No other LPG connections should be in the house.
•  Must be an Indian citizen
•  Applicants must be female at least 18 years of age.

Adult women belonging to the following categories can apply:

•  SC/ST
•  Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural)
•  Most Backward Classes (MBC)
•  Antyodaya Anna Yojana
•  Tea and X-Tea Garden Tribes
•  forest dwellers
•  People living on river islands and islands
•  Must be woman from BPL family with no LPG connection
•  No benefit should be availed under other similar schemes

Necessary documents

•  BPL Ration Card
•  Aadhaar card as proof of identity and address.
•  Caste certificate
•  One passport size photograph
•  BPL certificate issued by Municipal President or Panchayat President
•  Photo ID proof
•  Address proof
•  Aadhaar numbers of all family members
•  Bank Passbook or Jan Dhan Bank Account Details
•  Bank Account Number along with IFSC Code.
•  KYC documents.

Step 1 – Beneficiary in Pradhan Mantri Ujwala Yojana BPL New List 2023 Click Here to Check Their Name

Step 2 – In this form you have to select your state, district, tehsil.  After filling all the information you have to click on submit button.

 Step 3 – After this, a new list of city and village beneficiaries will open in front of you.  You can find your name in this list.

How to Apply for Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Ujjwala Yojana

 Step 1 – Collect application form from nearest LPG distributor or download from https://www.pmuy.gov.in/index.aspx

 Step 2 – Fill the form

 Step 3 – Submit the form at the LPG distributor's office, you can download the Ujjwala KYC form from the official website.  You need to fill the form and submit it along with the necessary documents.

 Step 4 – Once the application is submitted, it will be processed.  LPG connection is given by companies after verification of documents and verification of eligibility.
