From the day the Congress party came to power, the discussion about when the five guarantee schemes will be implemented started across the state.  There was also curiosity as to who would be the beneficiaries of this project.  CM Siddaramaiah has announced that the plan is being implemented now.

 Free bus travel for women, 2000 rupees per month for house owners under Griha Lakshmi Yojana, 10 kg rice per month for every family member with BPL card under Anna Bhagya Yojana, 200 units of free electricity for every household in the state under Griha Jyoti Yojana and unemployed graduates under Yuva Nidhi Yojana and  The government has announced plans to give allowance to diploma holders.  Here is the complete details about each scheme.

Guarantee 1 – 200 units of free electricity per household

  •  Under Griha Jyoti Yojana, every house will get 200 units of electricity free of charge.
  •  This scheme will be implemented from the month of August.
  •  Consumers are not required to pay electricity bill for the month of July.
  •  However, people have to pay the electricity bill for the month of June which comes in July.
  •  The beneficiaries of this scheme are determined by calculating the average amount of electricity consumed by each household annually.
  •  10% electricity will be given free of cost based on the average electricity consumption of the last 12 months
  •  If you use an average of 120 units of electricity in your home every month, then the government will give you up to 132 units of free electricity.  Similarly, no matter how many units you use, only average + 10% units will be given free by the government.
  •  As announced during the elections, only a maximum of 200 units per house will get free electricity.

Guarantee 2 – Rs 2 thousand per month for house owner.
  •  Griha Lakshmi Yojana will be launched on August 15.
  •  2,000 per month for each house owner.  Will get money.
  •  For this the house owner has to provide their bank account, Aadhaar card.
  •  Application for the scheme is required.
  •  It is up to the family to decide who is the owner of the house.
  •  2,000 to the house owner's account every month.  The money will be deposited by the government.
  •  It is possible to apply for this scheme from June 15.
  •  Applications will be reviewed by August 15.
  •  The project will be launched on August 15th Independence Day.
  •  This scheme will be applicable to all.
  •  There is no distinction between BPL and APL
  •  There is no income limit.
  •  This scheme is also applicable to government employees.
  •  Homeowners can submit their application both offline and online
  •  Beneficiaries who are already getting widow pay, old age pay, disability pension can also benefit from Griha Lakshmi Yojana.

Guarantee 3 – 10 kg free rice under Anna Bhagya Yojana

  •  10K per month to each member of the family with a BPL card.  G.  Rice will be available for free.
  •  This Anna Bhagya Yojana will be implemented from July 1.
  •  This scheme will be applicable only for BPL card and Antyodaya card beneficiaries.
  •  Those who are getting 35 kg rice under Antyodaya Yojana are also eligible to get 10 kg food grains under Anna Bhagya Yojana.
  •  This scheme is not applicable for APL card holders.
  •  In some cases, instead of 10 kg of rice, the government also intends to distribute 5 kg of rice and another 5 kg of food grains like millet and wheat.
  •  BPL card holders will get information about this from time to time.
  •  The government will provide only the food grains that are in use in the respective provinces.

Guarantee 4 – Unemployment allowance for graduates, diploma holders

  •  Graduates who studied and passed in 2022-23 will get unemployment allowance every month for the next 24 months.
  •  The scheme will be applicable to all caste graduates who have declared themselves unemployed.
  •  Unemployed graduates will get 3,000 thousand rupees every month.
  •  1,500 per month for those who have completed diploma and are unemployed.  Allowance will be available.
  •  If any unemployed beneficiary gets a job while the scheme is in force, the benefits under the scheme will stop.
  •  The government has already started collecting information to implement this scheme.
  •  2022-23 Graduates and Diploma students who have passed their studies should apply to avail the scheme.
  •  There is an opportunity to apply within the next six months.
  •  This scheme will also be applicable to Mangal Mukhi.

Guarantee 5 – Free bus travel for women
  •  Women across the state can travel free in state government buses from June 11.
  •  The state government has not imposed any restrictions on this project.
  •  Women can travel free in all government buses except air-conditioned buses and luxury buses.
  •  Women can travel free on BMTC, KSRTC, NWKRTC and KKRTC buses.
  •  Women can travel anywhere in Karnataka.
  •  Can travel any distance.
