 If you go to any Aadhaar Enrollment Center, you can change your photo on Aadhaar card.  You can find out where the Aadhaar center is located near your home and its address online through this website.

An application for this function is available at the Aadhaar Enrollment Centre.  It should be filled and submitted there.

 The operator there will verify your biometric information.

 Then your photo will be taken there and added to Aadhaar.

 After this, an acknowledgment slip with URN number will be given.

Now you can download the digital copy of your Aadhaar card on UIDAI's website.  Make sure it has your updated photo.

Other ways to update information in Aadhaar card:

 You need to go to Aadhaar Enrollment Center to update photo on Aadhaar card.  Changes in name, address etc. can also be done at this Aadhaar center.

 How to Update Aadhaar Card Details?

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has published in a circular the revised fees to be paid by citizens to get a new Aadhaar card or to change or update their personal details in the existing Aadhaar card (UIDAI updates).

Aadhaar card renewal may involve a person's biometrics, address, email, phone number and other information.  Additionally, citizens must update their biometric data and other information when they reach 5 and 15 years of age.  From March 15 to June 14, 2023, UIDAI is requesting those who have not updated their Aadhaar information for ten years to submit and update their identity and address proof online at https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in.  This service is free.

 For making changes to user details linked to their 12-digit Unique Identification Number, UIDAI usually charges a fee of Rs 50.  This may be necessary if the user is trying to revise details such as Proof of Identity (PoI).  Proof of Address (POA), especially if the Aadhaar ID was issued 10 or more years ago.

It is to be noted that the free UIDAI service can only be availed online at the MyAadhaar portal.  For updating documents at physical Aadhaar centers, cardholders will still have to pay a fee of Rs 50.  The move is aimed at “improving life, better service delivery” and “increasing the success rate of authentication”.

How to PAN-Aadhaar link?

 The Income Tax Department had earlier said that if the PAN number is not linked with Aadhaar by March 31, 2023, the PAN card will become inactive from April 1 (PAN-Aadhaar link).

However, in the face of intense public pressure to extend the deadline, the Union Finance Department has extended the PAN-Aadhaar linking period by three months.  That means, now the public has to link by June 30.

 PAN card and Aadhaar card are important for smooth financial transfers through the bank.  A few years ago, the government made it mandatory for all citizens to link their Aadhaar card and PAN card.

How to link Pan-Aadhaar?

•  The Income Tax Department has devised several ways to link PAN with Aadhaar.
•  The e-filing portal of Income Tax Department can be linked through https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in.
•  Register if not registered on this website.  Your PAN number will be the user ID.  Date of birth will be the password.
•  After login, the link Your PAN with Aadhaar will be available on the page.  If not found then go to profile settings and click on the link Aadhaar.
•  Check the PAN details.  If it doesn't match, it needs to be fixed.  If it matches then click the link now button.
•  You will get a message after successful linking.
•  Pan-Aadhaar linking can be done by going to NSDL/UTIIL office.
•  If the deadline for PAN-Aadhaar linking is missed, the PAN will be inactive

How to Update Date of Birth in Aadhaar?

 1: First go to https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/.

 2: Select 'Login'.

 3: Enter your Aadhaar number and captcha code, then 'Send OTP' button.

 4: Enter the OTP and then tap on the 'Login' button.

 Once logged in, you can access various services from the home page.  To update date of birth, select 'Update Aadhaar online'.  After selecting it you will be redirected to a new page.  The update method will be displayed to you.  Minor changes to your name, date of birth, gender, language and address can be made using the online portal.

 5: Select 'Proceed to Aadhaar Update'.

 6: From the drop-down menu, select 'Date of Birth' select

 Scanned copy of original parent document is required for correction of date of birth.  Please ensure that the supporting document is in your name and current.

 7: Submit your documents and make payment.

 Data are compared with supporting documents.  If the information provided is incorrect, your request will most likely be denied.  Once the quality verification process is complete, you will receive an SMS notification with your Enrollment ID and Result.  Update request will be completed within 30 days with 90% service standard.  You can check the status of your request by going to myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in.
