Yojjani Program is launched by Government and women entrepreneurs in India for their welfare and advancement.  The Women's Development Corporation of the Government of India has implemented Yojjani Scheme.  This program encourages and motivates women entrepreneurship among the disadvantaged by providing financial assistance to women to run businesses.  The Yojanani scheme helps to raise household and individual income levels and promotes national development.

Interest-free loans are provided to women from all sections of society without barriers or bias.  Banks also provide interest-free loans to women farmers who are business owners.  Yojani Yojana relies heavily on the support of several commercial and public sector banks, including Punjab and Sindh Bank, Saraswat Bank and Karnataka State Women's Development Corporation (KSWDC).

Objectives of the project

 The main objective of Karnataka State in implementing this program is to help women become self-reliant by starting their own companies and small enterprises and to prevent them from borrowing money from moneylenders at high interest rates.  It plans to offer skill development courses along with financial assistance.

Features of Employee Scheme

 Encouraging women borrowers to take loans from banks and other financial institutions so that they can start earning money

 To provide interest free loans to eligible women beneficiaries without any bias or discrimination

 Make financial assistance more affordable to women falling under SC/ST or other special categories.

 Avoid getting high interest loans from private lenders or other financial institutions

 Through EDP training, ensure that women beneficiaries enhance their skills.

Eligibility criteria for employee scheme

 Candidate must be female

 The initial age limit for a woman was 45 years, but that limit was later raised to 55 years, making the eligible age range 18 to 55.

 Earlier income limit was Rs.  40,000;  The current income restriction is Rs.  1.5 lakh.

 Only female business owners are eligible for business loans.

 Applicants with high credit scores can make payments

 Ideally, you have not defaulted on any previous loans from financial institutions.

Documents:

 Passport size photographs

 Applicant's Aadhaar Card

 Birth Certificate

 Along with duly filled application form

 Proof of address and income

 BPL Card or Ration Card

 Caste Certificate, (if applicable)

 Copy of Bank Passbook (Account, Bank and Branch Names, Name of Holder, IFSC, and MICR)

 Any other document required by Bank/NBFC

Procedure to Apply for Employee Scheme

 Applicants for this scheme or scheme can visit the nearest bank with all the required documentation and fill up the application form to proceed with the necessary bank requirements.  Another option is for the candidates to submit the loan application online by going to the official websites of the banks that offer loans under the Yojana program.
