Free bus pass scheme for women
In a joint press conference with D.K Shivakumar and other Cabinet members, the new Chief Minister Siddaramaiah revealed five promising plans to be implemented after the next Cabinet meeting. It is worth noting that the Chief Minister clarified that this benefit will not be extended to luxury buses. Further, the free bus travel scheme is exclusively applicable to women who are residents of the state.No Karnataka women will be charged for traveling in government buses.

Features of Karnataka Free Travel :
Free bus service is available across Karnataka.
In Karnataka, women can only use free bus services provided by government buses.
Female beneficiaries traveling in Karnataka Government buses will not be charged the fare.

Beneficiary should be permanently resident in Karnataka.
A woman should be the beneficiary.
